I turned 40 a few weeks after my shoot. I wasn't really looking forward to it at all but doing the shoot and then getting the amazing pictures made me feel so much better about it. Age is just a number and every age should be celebrated.

 

I think doing the shoot at Vavoom definitely gave me some of my confidence back. I was in a slump over getting older but the whole experience made me look at aging differently. Women are beautiful at every age and I plan to do a shoot every 5 years ( or less) until I die. I'm sure it will be fun looking back at them when I'm 80 and remembering I wasn't just a soccer mom or whatever. I was and still am a woman.
